1. Most breast augmentations take place right in our office.
Our surgical suite is located in the same building as our practice, making it convenient to have your breast augmentation consultation, surgery, and follow-up visits in one place. The suite is accredited by Quad A (formerly AAAASF), which evaluates surgical facilities against standards for safety, staff qualifications, equipment, and emergency preparedness. Your surgeon will determine whether the on-site suite or a hospital is the appropriate setting for your procedure based on your health and surgical plan.
2. Our surgeons have specialized training in plastic surgery.
Choosing a surgeon for breast surgery means looking closely at their training and credentials. At the Center for Plastic Surgery Ann Arbor, Dr. Daniel Sherick is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), and Dr. Galina Primeau is board eligible following her plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Michigan.
ABPS certification requires surgeons to meet training and examination standards. Board eligible means Dr. Primeau has completed her training but has not yet earned ABPS certification. During your consultation, you can ask either surgeon about their experience with the breast procedure you’re considering and the approach they recommend for your goals.
3. Our practice is on the Trinity Health Ann Arbor campus.
Our office and accredited surgical suite are in the same building on the Trinity Health Ann Arbor campus. You can return to the same location for your consultation, surgery, and follow-up appointments. Your surgeon will discuss the appropriate surgical setting with you based on your health and planned procedure.
4. Your breast surgery is an outpatient procedure—you go home the same day!
Many breast surgeries are outpatient procedures, so patients can return home after surgery and begin recovering there. Your surgeon will explain what to expect for your specific procedure, including whether you’ll need someone to take you home, how much time to allow away from work and activities, and when you’ll return for follow-up visits.
5. We offer a range of breast surgery options.
Your goals may involve changing breast size, restoring shape, or addressing a concern after earlier surgery. Our surgeons offer breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, breast reconstruction, and male breast reduction. During your consultation, your surgeon can help you understand which options fit your needs.
